Impromptu "I Love You"

My nephew Anthony surprised me tonight while he was standing in the kitchen. Well, no, he wasn't standing in the kitchen. Anthony never stands; his body is perpetually in motion. Honestly, you get worn out when he sits (squirms) in your lap. Anyway, somewhere between his car noises, twirling, eating a banana, pretending to be a shark, carrying an ant outside, and almost spilling a cup of pop on his head, Anthony looked in my direction and blurted out, "I love you." It came out of nowhere. It was unprompted, unexpected, and completely genuine. I love him, too. I'm so glad my sister and her two kids will be living here for a while. I'll only get to live with them for about a month or so, but I hope to soak up every moment of it.
