The season of Advent begins this Sunday and I am looking forward to it very much. I made an Advent wreath on Wednesday, which something I have never done before. I am looking forward to spending each week in contemplation and anticipation of the coming of Christ. With each candle I light, I will be celebrating a different emotion. Faith. Hope. Joy. Love.
While I sigh with frustration at the type of holiday preparation the commercial world pressures us to buy into (literally), I happily subscribe to the notion that we do need to prepare for Christmas. We need to prepare ourselves spiritually and center ourselves to focus on the miracle of Christmas and all of the joy that the Savior brings into our lives.
