Weekend for Kris

Last weekend, eight friends from college joined me up in the mountains for a celebration of our friend's engagement. It was an early bridal shower/bachelorette party. While Kris and her fiance aren't getting married until May, one of our other friends, Alicia (who is also recently engaged!), is leaving for Africa for a year and we wanted to make sure she could be there since she won't make it to the wedding. Plus, we were just due for a weekend together!
Through my connections in Property Management, we stayed in a three-bedroom, three-bath condo with a full kitchen and paid next to nothing! It was wonderful. Here is the building we stayed in (yes, those are the ski runs in the background), two pictures of the inside of the condo, and a photo of some of us preparing lunch in the kitchen.Saturday's weather was a bit chilly but still beautiful, so we took advantage of the opportunity to take a hike near my house in Dillon.

They got to see the great views that I'm lucky to see each and every day!

We sipped mimosas in the hot tub...
and treated Kris to a 50 minute professional massage...
...while we went on a video scavenger hunt in Breckenridge. We were in costumes and all, and we entertained Kris with the video later on. (If I find pictures of it, I will certainly post them.)
Kyle offered to drive us to dinner in one of the Keystone vans. We gladly accepted his offer and we rode "in style" (can you say that about a 15-passenger van?) to Red Mountain Grill.
After dinner Kris got to open all of her presents.

Laura made fondue and, as you can tell by Erin and Sarah's faces, it was quite yummy!

It was an amazing weekend! Thank you all for coming up here to enjoy the mountains with me. I had an incredible time and I hope you did too!
